“Azad Gujjar is a graduate, who is passionate about contributing to social services, especially towards encouraging education amongst his community in association with Van Gujjar Tribal / Tribal Youth Organization. Fond of photography, he led this men in Pathri village to contribute towards this project.

“Malka Kasana is a 16-year-old resident of Gujjar Barti Pathri. She topped her 10th Board Exams and is currently pursuing humanities. Malka is passionate about the education of women. As a photography enthusiast; she led the workshop activities in Pathri, and continues to document the lifestyle of women in her village.
पथरी की रहने वाली है 16 साल की मलका कसाना। उसने अपनी 10 वीं बोर्ड परीक्षा में टॉप किया और वर्तमान में मानविकी का अध्ययन कर रही है। मलका को महिलाओं की शिक्षा का बहुत शौक है। एक फोटोग्राफी उत्साही के रूप में; उन्होंने पथरी में कार्यशाला की गतिविधियों का नेतृत्व किया, और अपने गांव में महिलाओं की जीवन शैली का दस्तावेजीकरण करना जारी रखा।”

MALKA KASANA ( मलका कसाना)

“Salma Kasana, aged 15 is a resident of Gujjar Basti Pathri and helped lead the women’s workshop in Pathri. She continues to document the Van Gujjar Lifestyle through photographs in resettled villages. Salma’s family was moved from the forest and resettled in Pathri in 1995. She believes that resettlement has both pros and cons which she wants to document. A class 9th student; she wants to continue studying and pursue social work. Importantly she wants to contribute towards uplifting her community.
15 साल की सलमा कसाना गुज्जर बस्ती पथरी की रहने वाली हैं और उन्होंने पथरी में महिलाओं की कार्यशाला का नेतृत्व करने में मदद की। वह बसे हुए गांवों में तस्वीरों के माध्यम से वन गुर्जर जीवन शैली का दस्तावेजीकरण करना जारी रखती है। सलमा के परिवार को जंगल से हटाकर 1995 में पथरी में बसाया गया था। उनका मानना है कि पुनर्वास के पक्ष और विपक्ष दोनों हैं, जिनका वह दस्तावेजीकरण करना चाहती हैं। कक्षा 9वीं का छात्र; वह पढ़ाई जारी रखना चाहती है और सामाजिक कार्य करना चाहती है। महत्वपूर्ण रूप से वह अपने समुदाय के उत्थान में योगदान देना चाहती है।”

SALMA KASANA (सलमा कसाना)

“Devyani Nighoskar worked as the co-lead for this project aiding in concept, production, workshop facilitation and field-work. She is a freelance journalist and social researcher; capturing turing stories about culture, identity, gender, development, social justice and its intersections. Writing for various national and international publications; she first got involved with the Van Gujjars whilst reporting on them for a feature story for Al Jazeera. Devyani strongly believes in the power of field research and storytelling to create a positive impact.

“Zuha Fathima Junaidi is the co-lead of the project and a member of Sha Fooshalal Shanti Bai Nahar Foundation. She has been working towards the implementation of the Forest Rights Act, 2006 in Uttarakhand. She believes in community participation and leadership to bring about long-term social change.
ज़ुहा फाथीमा जुनाईडी परियोजना की सह-प्रमुख हैं और शा फूशालाल शांति बाई नाहर फाउंडेशन की सदस्य हैं। वह उत्तराखंड में वन अधिकार अधिनियम, 2006 के कार्यान्वयन की दिशा में काम कर रही हैं। वह दीर्घकालिक सामाजिक परिवर्तन लाने के लिए सामुदायिक भागीदारी और नेतृत्व में विश्वास करती है।”

Zuha Fathima Junaidi (ज़ुहा फाथीमा जुनाईडी)

“Swati Punamiya, is a post graduate in Management and has more than 6 years of experience in Banking Operations. She has over 2 years of experience in blog / article writing, and English to Hindi translation. She worked as a Hindi translator and Hindi content editor for this project.
स्वाति पुनमिया, मैनेजमेंट क्षेत्र की पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट है और ६ साल से अधिक बैंकिंग संचालन में अनुभव रखती है। उसे ब्लॉग/लेख लेखन, और अंग्रेजी से हिंदी अनुवाद में २ साल से अधिक का अनुभव है। वे वर्तमान में एक शैक्षिक ऐप के स्टार्ट-अप से जुड़ी हुई है। वह उनके कंटेंट की टीम का नेतृत्व करती है। उन्होंने इस परियोजना के लिए हिंदी अनुवादक और हिंदी संपादक के रूप में काम किया|”

“Shubham is a first-year Engineering student at The Northcap University in Gurgaon. Committed to social change; he enjoyed working as a Hindi translator for this project and also helped out with administrative and marketing work.

Shubham ( शुभम)

“Manju Baweja worked with us in the capacity of a translator and Hindi content editor in Phase 2. She is a retired librarian who worked in a school for more than 16years. She loves to write for children’s books and has published several stories wih a group of writers including the “Bachpan society for children’s literature and culture.”
मंजू बावेजा ने हमारे साथ दूसरे चरण में एक अनुवादक और हिंदी सामग्री संपादक की हैसियत से काम किया। वह एक सेवानिवृत्त लाइब्रेरियन हैं, जिन्होंने 16 से अधिक वर्षों से एक स्कूल में काम किया है।वह बच्चों की किताबों के लिए लिखना पसंद करती हैं और कई प्रकाशित कर चुकी हैं । दस साल से अधिक के अनुवाद के अनुभव के साथ, उन्होंने डॉ. पी.एन. सिंह द्वारा अन्य पुस्तकों के लिए अंग्रेजी से हिंदी अनुवाद में सक्रिय रूप से काम किया है।”

“Mallika Parkar is student in Mumbai. She is passionate about community service to bring about a change in society. Joining us in Phase 2, she really enjoyed being a Hindi translator for this project.

“Shivani is a final level student of CMA and has done her graduation from Delhi University. She has taken training under a cost accountant firm as a cost auditor and firm believer of humanitarian work. In this project, she worked as a social media volunteer and helped us plan and create our Instagram content and increase our reach.

“Nandini is a software engineer working with Larsen and Toubro Infotech. Apart from this, she is a teacher and a mentor at Whitehat Jr. In this project, she has worked on the website in terms of enhancements. She helped in refining the user interface.

“Roopam Paradkar is a full-stack developer. Developing creative website and solving real-life problems is driving him each day.
